The general rule for your program simply refers to the standard conversion ratio of currency spent in store to points. This is set up alongside any other Rules you have set up however, you simply add no entry criteria so it applies to all transactions. The default conversion is 1 currency spent = 1 point generated. If you would like to stick to this, no general rule is needed.
Create a general rule:
To create a general rule in your dashboard, navigate to ‘Loyalty’ and select ‘Rules’ from the dropdown.
The general rule is that one euro or pound spent is equal to one point.
To create a new rule, click on ‘New rule’ and ‘start from scratch’.
Since this is a general rule, you do not apply any filters. Simply click ‘Continue’.
There are several types of rule you can apply to the transaction, such as fixed number, addition, rounding, and multiplication.
For example, to make every euro or pound equal to two points, select ‘Multiplication’ and set the value to 2.
Exit the panel and click ‘Activate rule and exit’.
