Adding Forms to Emails and Data Collection

How to link a form to an email for data collection and survey purposes

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Forms are great for for collecting additional data on customers. You can use them as a survey tool for various aspects of your business, as you can view the responses and submissions provided by your customer base. You can also then use automations to reward customers for filling out the data.

Create your form

First, think about the data you want to collect, and if necessary create a custom contact attribute for the data you are after. You can then follow the steps to design your form and include all the attribute field for customers to fill out data.

Make sure to make all fields mandatory to fill out ;)

Link your form to an email

Then, to access the share URL, go to ‘CRM’ then ‘Forms’. Select the Form you would like to embed and on the first page find the ‘URL’ of the form. You can copy this link using the button next to it. This is what you will implement in your email design (via button or hyperlink) to get customers to provide more data.

Incentivise customers for providing data

On your form page, locate the ‘automation’ tab on the left and then enable an automation on the successful submission of a form. You will then be taken to the automation page, where you can use the small blue plus to add points or a voucher for a customer if they fill out the information.

Send out your email

You can now begin sending out your email with the form link and watch customers fill out their profiles. Remember to also mention your incentive to increase the rate of submissions!
