How to enable the grid view for precise template design in Pitchly’s Elements App
Overview
The Show Grid setting in Pitchly’s Elements App allows Users to display a visual-only grid while editing a template. This tool helps with consistent alignment and spacing of content fields, ensuring clean and brand-compliant designs. The grid will not appear in any exports—it’s only visible during the design process.
This feature is available to Users with Admin or Manage Template permissions.
Enable the Show Grid Setting
Access the Template Designer
Open the Elements App from the side panel or Apps home screen.
Select the cog to view the Manage Templates window.
Choose an existing template or create a new one.
Navigate to the Page Tab
In the right-hand panel of the Template Designer, select the Page tab.
This panel also includes design layers and template history.
Toggle on Show Grid
Locate the Show Grid option under the Design Settings section
Click the toggle to turn it on. A grid will appear over the canvas to help guide your layout.
The grid will not appear in exported documents. It is strictly a design-time visual aid.
Use the Grid to Align Elements
Position text, images, logos, and other fields using the grid lines to maintain consistent structure throughout the template.
Elements can be moved around the template using your mouse or arrow keyboard controls.
