Sync Pitchly Activity Logs to Splunk

Learn how to automatically push Pitchly activity logs into Splunk for monitoring, auditing, and analytics.

Overview

Integrating Pitchly with Splunk allows you to stream activity logs directly from Pitchly into your Splunk environment. This makes it easy to monitor user activity, track events across workspaces, and include Pitchly data in your broader reporting and security workflows.

Follow the steps below to create an automation that syncs Pitchly Activity Logs to Splunk on a recurring basis.

Note: You must have Admin permissions in Pitchly to configure integrations.

Step 1: Create a New Automation

  1. In Pitchly, navigate to the Admin home view.

  2. Select Integrations from the left sidebar.

  3. Navigate to the Pitchly Activity Logs tile and click Connect.

Step 2: Configure the Source (Pitchly Activity Logs)

  1. In the Configure Source screen, confirm Pitchly Activity Logs is selected.

  2. Under I want to sync, select Records.

  3. Select the Pitchly Activity Logs account you want to use.

Click Next to continue.

Step 3: Configure the Destination (Splunk)

  1. In the Configure Destination screen, select Splunk as the destination service.

  2. Under I want to sync, select Records.

  3. Select your Splunk account from the dropdown, or click Connect Account to authenticate a new one.

  4. Follow the prompts to authenticate your Splunk account.

Click Next to continue.

Important: The integration will only have access to data permitted by the Splunk account used for authentication. Ensure this account has the appropriate permissions to receive incoming event data.

Step 4: Map Fields

Map fields from Pitchly Activity Logs to corresponding fields in Splunk to control what data is sent.

  1. Review the list of available fields from Pitchly Activity Logs (left column).

  2. Map each field to the appropriate Splunk field (right column).

Common fields include:

  • Record ID

  • Created at

  • Event

  • User email

  • Application Name

  • Event Data

  • Workspace ID

  • Workspace Name

  • Table ID

  • Table Name

  • Template ID

  • Template Name

  1. Add or remove mappings as needed based on your logging and reporting requirements.

  2. Click Finish when you’re done mapping fields.

Note: You only need to map the fields you want to send to Splunk. Unmapped fields will not be included in the sync.

Step 5: Turn On the Automation

After completing field mapping, you’ll be prompted to enable the automation.

  • Click Turn On to start syncing activity logs immediately.

  • Click Not Now to save your setup and enable it later.

Tip: Automations run on a scheduled interval. By default, Pitchly automations run every 60 minutes. You can adjust this interval from the automation settings if needed.

Managing Your Splunk Integration

Once enabled, the Splunk automation will continuously push Pitchly activity logs based on your configuration.

To make changes:

  1. Go to Admin → Integrations.

  2. Locate your Splunk automation.

  3. Select Manage to update settings, mappings, or run intervals.

Troubleshooting

If activity logs are not appearing in Splunk:

  • Confirm the Splunk account is authenticated and active.

  • Verify that required fields are mapped correctly.

  • Check that the automation is turned on and running successfully.

  • Review Splunk permissions to ensure incoming data is accepted.
