This article walks through syncing picklist values from Dynamics 365 into an existing Dropdown or Dropdown Multiple field in a Pitchly table. This automation ensures your Pitchly dropdown options stay consistent with the values defined in Dynamics.
This automation only syncs values β not records. If you're looking to sync full records from Dynamics, see: Sync Records from Dynamics 365 to Pitchly
Permissions Required
Pitchly: Admin access required
Step 1: Prepare Your Pitchly Table
Before starting this setup, make sure your destination Pitchly table already includes a Dropdown or Dropdown Multiple field. This is required to receive the synced picklist options.
NOTE: In Pitchly, a dropdown or dropdown multiple field must contain at least one option in order to save the table. We recommend adding a temporary placeholder value, completing the sync setup, and then deleting the placeholder once the automation is active.
Step 2: Configure Your Source
Log in to Pitchly with an Admin account
Select the Integrations tab from the left navigation
Locate the Dynamics tile and click Connect
On the Configure Source screen:
Confirm Dynamics is selected in the From dropdown
In the I want to sync dropdown, select Picklists
In the With the account dropdown, select your authorized Dynamics account
If you have not yet authorized your account, see: Authenticate Your Dynamics 365 Account in Pitchly
Click Next
Step 3: Select the Source Table and Picklist Field
Choose the Dynamics table containing the picklist field you want to sync
Supported tables: Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities
In the Select the Picklist Field dropdown, choose the appropriate field
Only Dynamics fields of type Picklist will appear here
Click Next
Step 4: Configure Your Pitchly Destination
In the To dropdown, confirm Pitchly is selected
In the I want to sync dropdown, select Choices
Under With the account, choose the authorized Pitchly account
Click Next
Step 5: Select the Destination Workspace and Table
Choose the Pitchly workspace that contains the dropdown field you want to populate
Select the target table within that workspace
Click Next
Step 6: Map Picklist Field to Pitchly Field
On the left, choose what you want to send from Dynamics:
Label: The readable name of the option
Value: The internal value, often used as a reference ID
On the right, select a Dropdown or Dropdown Multiple field in Pitchly
Only these field types will appear
IMPORTANT: In most use cases, you should sync the value (primary key), especially if your picklists are referenced by other records. If the value is non-human readable (e.g., β1234β), consider adding a formula field in Pitchly to convert it into something display-friendly.
Step 7: Complete and Activate the Sync
Review your configuration and field mapping
Click Finish
When prompted, click Turn On to activate the automation or select Not Now to activate it later
