Rich Text Editor for Multiline Text Fields

How to store formatting inside multiline text fields within Pitchly records

You can format text directly inside multiline text fields in your Pitchly records using the Rich Text Editor. This allows styled content, like bold text, italics, and bullet points, to live in your data and carry through to both the Proposals app and Legacy Slides app.

What is the Rich Text Editor?

The Rich Text Editor gives you a full formatting experience inside multiline text fields. Instead of plain text, you can create structured, presentation-ready content directly within your records.

How to Access the Editor

  1. Open a record in Pitchly

  2. Navigate to a multiline text field

  3. Click the pen icon in the top-right corner of the field

4. A dedicated editor window will open

5. Use the formatting ribbon to style your content before saving

Formatting Options

Within the editor, you can:

  • Bold text

  • Italicize text

  • Add bulleted and numbered lists

  • Insert tables

  • Adjust font size and color

  • Insert hyperlinks

  • Organize and structure longer content

How It Works in Exports

Any formatting applied in the Rich Text Editor will carry over into:

  • Proposals app exports

  • Legacy Slides app presentations

Note: Fields using rich text will need the appropriate syntax added to templates to apply it's edited content. This syntax is formatted as: {~~FIELD_NAME}
