When you order a video edit on Pixlmob, you are responsible for selecting and providing the music track. Editors are not expected to choose music for you.
Resources for Appropriately Licensed Music
Here are a few easy, affordable, and legal ways to find music for your video:
Epidemic Sound – Royalty-free music with a wide variety of genres.
Artlist.io – Flat-rate subscription for unlimited licensed music.
PremiumBeat – High-quality tracks with clear licensing options.
Soundstripe – Easy search and licensing for commercial use.
YouTube Audio Library – Free tracks cleared for use with attribution (check license on each track).
⚠️ Always ensure you have the appropriate license for commercial use, especially if your video is for marketing, real estate, or business purposes.
Why You Should Provide the Music
1. Faster turnaround with fewer revisions
If an editor picks music that you or your client (e.g. a realtor) don’t like, the editor has to re-edit the entire video just to replace the track. This time consuming revision could delay delivery of your video to your client.
2. Music is subjective
"Fun and upbeat" means something different to everyone. Editors are located all around the world, and cultural interpretations of music style and tone can vary widely. By choosing the music yourself, you're in control of the result — no surprises.
3. Copyright compliance is complicated
Licensed music is legally sensitive. If an editor picks a song for you, they may unknowingly use a track that isn't properly licensed for your use. That opens you up to legal risk. It's safer and smarter if you provide the music, knowing it’s licensed correctly for your project.
What Happens if You Don't Provide Music?
If you do not include the music file with your order:
Your editor will dispute or decline the project.
If you send the music file to the editor within your existing project, he can then withdraw the dispute and continue work on your project.
Disputed projects are reviewed within 1 business day and refunds are posted to your Pixlmob balance. [Learn more here.]
If you choose to move forward with a video that includes music sourced or selected by the editor — whether by request or by omission of your own music — you, as the customer, are assuming full ownership, responsibility, and legal liability for the use of that music. By doing so, you acknowledge and agree that:
You are solely responsible for ensuring the music is properly licensed for your intended use.
You accept all legal and financial risk associated with the use of that music.
You release both Pixlmob and the individual editor from any and all liability, claims, damages, or losses that may arise as a result of your use of the final video.
