Along with your PLAATO Pro, you will have received a PLAATO Connect. The PLAATO Connect is configured as a router with a DHCP server that provides IP addresses to your PLAATO Pros.

The Plaato Connect is configured with the IP address 192.168.8.1. Some routers are also configured to use this IP address. This conflict will stop the PLAATO Connect from being able to function or connect.

Solution: Change the IP address of the Plaato Connect.

Please follow these steps to change the IP address of the Plaato Connect. You will require some additional information from Plaato Support team for this so we recommend reaching out to support@plaato.io for this.

1. Connect to the PLAATO Connect by disconnecting from your current wifi and connect to the Plaato Cloud Connect. Email support@plaato.io for username and password details.

2. Once connected, open up your web browser and type 192.168.8.1 into the search bar.

3. It will ask you to enter a password. Please enter the password given to you by support@plaato.io

4. Go to the left navigation pane and click “More settings” and then “LAN IP”

5. In the “LAN IP” input, please enter the new desired IP address for the PLAATO Connect. Try changing the number 8 to 5, 6 or 7.

Eg: 192.168.8.1 >>>> 192.168.7.1

**NOTE: The new IP address cannot conflict with the configured “Guest IP” that can be found under the “Guest IP” tab. This is usually default at 192.168.9.1.

6. Once you have amended the number, click “Apply” to apply the changes.

7. The router will now reboot, this can take a couple of minutes. The router will now be available at the configured “LAN IP”, rather than on the previous 192.168.8.1.

8. Once the router has rebooted, head over to your app to check the status of the Connect which you can find under Account -> Connect. If it shows a heartbeat in the last few minutes it has successfully connected to our servers and is ready for use with the PLAATO Pros.

If no heartbeat is visible, refresh the app or wait 2-3 minutes. If you still don't see any heartbeats in the app, click here for more potential reasons why you may be experiencing issues.
