How to Create a Team on PLAI

Set up your team, create groups, and get your club ready to go live with PLAI.

1. Create Your Team Profile

Your team’s identity matters! Build a strong digital presence by setting up your team profile with your logo, bio, and key details.

Steps to Create Your Team Profile:

  1. Tap Create a Team

  2. Fill in your team details:

    • Club name

    • Email

    • Sport

    • Country

    • Address

    • Timezone

  3. Add your club logo (square images work best)

  4. Include your social media links

  5. Write a short club description — this is your first impression for new members

  6. Set member questions for verification

  7. Choose your approval settings (manual or automatic)

  8. Add photos to your Image Carousel — they’ll display on your personalised PLAI website

Use a high-quality logo. It appears across team pages, shop items, and news posts — so make it sharp and professional.


2. Create Groups

Groups help you organise players, control visibility, and target communications.

Steps to Create Groups:

  1. Open the Groups tab

  2. Tap Create a New Group

  3. Name your group (e.g., Men’s 1st Team or Club Admins)

  4. (Optional) Create nested groups by choosing a parent group (e.g., Junior Teams)

Start with a Club Admins group for testing and previews. It’s perfect for trial events, new features, or internal communication.


3. Activate Your Shop

Simplify payments and reduce cash handling using PLAI’s secure Stripe integration.

Steps to Activate Your Shop:

  1. Open the Shop tab

  2. Tap Connect Stripe

  3. Follow the setup prompts

4. Add Your First Product

Make it easy for members to pay for subscriptions, tickets, or club merchandise directly in your PLAI shop.

Steps to Add a Product:

  1. Open the Shop tab

  2. Tap Add Product

  3. Enter your product details (price, description, and images)

  4. Set visibility settings to control which groups can see it

Use group-specific visibility for personalised offerings — for example, show junior kit to youth teams or event tickets to adult members.


5. Create Your First News Article

Keep your members informed with updates, match reports, and announcements.

Steps to Create a News Article:

  1. Open the News tab

  2. Tap Add New Article

  3. Add a catchy title and body text

  4. Select which groups to notify

  5. Attach images or PDFs

  6. Send notifications by email, SMS, or in-app alert

  7. Allow comments for engagement

6. Create Your First Event

Organise matches, training sessions, and social events all in one place.

Steps to Create an Event:

  1. Open the Events tab

  2. Tap Add New Event

  3. Add event details (time, date, location, attendance)

  4. Include a map link for easy navigation

  5. Send reminders and track attendance
