If a parent or member needs to update their email address in PLAI, you can switch it over without losing any existing account data or team history. Follow the steps below for a smooth transition.
📝How to Change a User’s Email Address
1. Confirm the New Email Address
Make sure you have the correct new email the user wants to use going forward.
2. Re-Invite the User with the New Email
Using the existing account information:
Send a new team invite to the updated email address
Re-enter the member’s:
Name
Email
Contact number
Assigned Groups
This ensures their new login has the correct access.
3. User Accepts the New Invite
Ask the user to:
Open the invitation email in their new inbox
Accept the invitation
Log out and log back in using the new PLAI account credentials
They’ll retain all prior access and data.
4. Remove the Old Account
Go to the Team Page and remove the old email account from the team.
This prevents duplicates and confusion going forward.
