How to Find and Join a Club

Step by step guide to finding a sports club on PLAI using a club code or search, previewing its details, and requesting to join.

When you open PLAI for the first time, you will land on the Find Your Club screen. From here you can join an existing club in one of two ways: entering a club code or searching by name.

Joining with a club code

  1. On the Find Your Club screen, enter the 6-digit club code your club administrator or coach gave you.

  2. PLAI checks the code automatically once you have entered all 6 digits.

  3. If the code matches a club, you are taken to the Club Preview screen.

Note: Club codes never expire once created, even if the club is later deleted or deactivated, so an old code can still fail to match if the club is gone.

If the code does not match any club, you will see: "Invalid club code. Please check and try again." and the fields are cleared or highlighted so you can try again. Tap Where to find my club code? if you are not sure where to look.

Joining by search instead

  1. Tap the SEARCH FOR YOUR CLUB section.

  2. Type your club's name (a minimum of 2 characters starts the search).

  3. Matching clubs appear in a real-time list, each showing the club logo, name, sport, and location.

  4. Tap the club you are looking for to open its Club Preview screen.

If nothing matches, PLAI shows: "No clubs found" and suggests trying different keywords or creating a new club instead.

Reviewing the club and requesting to join

On the Club Preview screen you will see the club's logo, name, sport, location, and member count, along with recent news or activity if the club has posted any.

  1. Check the details to confirm it is the right club.

  2. If it is not, tap Return to Search to try again.

  3. If it is correct, tap Request to Join Club.

Your request is then submitted, and you will continue into the rest of PLAI's sign up flow. You will be placed into the club's registration flow once you finish signing up.

Important: Requesting to join is not the same as being a member yet. Depending on how the club is set up, your request may need approval from a club admin before you are fully in.

Once you're in, see "Understanding Your Club Page" for what you'll find waiting for you there.

FAQ

Why hasn't my join request been approved yet?

Some clubs require an admin to manually approve every new member. If that is the case for your club, your request sits as pending until an admin reviews it. There is no fixed wait time for this, since it depends on the club's admins.

Can I join more than one club?

Yes. There is no limit on how many clubs you can join, and you can have up to 10 pending join requests waiting for approval at the same time.
