How to Cancel a Member's Membership

How club admins can cancel a member's membership immediately or on a future date, and what happens to the member's access and notifications.

Important: Cancelling a membership is irreversible from this flow. Once confirmed, you can't revert it back to active, if the member needs reinstating, you'll need to create a new membership for them.

Cancelling a membership

  1. Open the member's profile and go to the Membership tab.

  2. Expand the card for the membership you want to cancel.

  3. Tap Cancel Membership. A modal opens.

  4. Choose a timing: Immediately or End of Billing Cycle Date.

  5. Tap Cancel Membership on the modal to confirm.

Once confirmed:

  • The membership's status updates immediately, no refresh needed.

  • An email is sent to the member notifying them of the cancellation. This is mandatory and can't be turned off.

  • For a future-dated cancellation, the member keeps full access until that date, then the status flips to Cancelled automatically.

If you close the modal without confirming, the membership stays exactly as it was.

Note: Cancelling a membership doesn't remove the member from the club, that's a separate action. It also doesn't affect any other memberships the member holds, or any memberships held by a linked guardian or child.
