How to Send a Voice Note

Learn how to record and send a voice note in a PLAI chat when it's quicker than typing.

Record and send a voice note

  1. Tap the mic icon in the chat input bar.

  2. Recording starts right away, with a visible timer.

  3. Tap stop when you're done.

  4. Preview your recording, then tap send.

Your voice note appears in the chat as an audio player. The other person can play, pause, and replay it.

Note: Recordings stop automatically after 2 minutes and move straight to preview. Supported formats are .aac, .mp3, and .m4a, up to 5MB.

You'll need to allow PLAI access to your microphone the first time you use this. If you deny it, you'll see a prompt to enable it in your device settings.
