Archive a chat
Open the chat menu on any chat.
Tap Archive Chat for Me.
The chat moves out of your main list into your Archived folder and is automatically muted. Nothing changes for anyone else in the chat, this only affects your own view.
Note: All roles can archive any chat they're part of, whether it's a one-to-one chat or a group chat.
Unarchive a chat
You can unarchive it manually any time from your Archived folder, or it will unarchive itself automatically the moment someone sends a new message to it.
Tip: Unarchiving doesn't automatically unmute a chat. If you want notifications back on, mute it off separately.
FAQ
Does archiving affect anyone else in the chat?
No. Archiving is personal to you. The chat stays exactly as it was for everyone else.
Does archiving remove any messages?
No. All your messages and chat history stay intact, you just won't see the chat in your main list until it unarchives.
