How to Create and Publish a Sponsor Ad

Step by step guide to creating and publishing a sponsor ad with an image, link, and audience targeting in Ads Space.

Once Ads Space is active, you can create ads for your club's sponsors in a single screen, no multi-step wizard needed.

Creating an ad

  1. Tap Create your first ad on the Ads Space empty state, or + Add New Ad if you already have ads.

  2. Upload the ad image. It must be a PNG or JPG, max 5MB, at 1200x300px. If your image doesn't match those dimensions, PLAI's crop tool opens automatically to adjust it.

  3. Upload the sponsor's logo image, PNG or JPG, max 5MB, square dimensions.

  4. Enter an Ad Name (1 to 72 characters). This is admin-facing only and never shown to members.

  5. Enter the Ad Link. PLAI adds https:// automatically if you leave it off.

Setting targeting

  • Target Gender: choose from Everyone (default), Men, Women, or Other. You can select more than one.

  • Target Age: choose from All Ages (default) or specific brackets. You can select more than one.

A hint below age targeting explains: ads are shown to members who match, or whose household includes a child who matches, the selected age range.

Publishing

Tap Publish Ad once your image, name, and link are all valid. The ad goes live immediately and starts rotating in Events, Articles, Forms, and Shop lists, labelled "Sponsored." A toast confirms: "Ad published! Your ad is now live."

Note: There's no cap on how many ads you can have active at once, and every ad has equal priority in rotation, none can be pinned or boosted above another.

FAQ

What happens if no members match my targeting?

The ad still publishes and stays active. It simply won't show to anyone until a matching member joins or updates their profile.

Does a parent see ads targeted at their child's age or gender?

Yes. If any of a parent's linked children match an ad's targeting, the parent is eligible to see that ad even if their own profile doesn't match.

What if a member hasn't set their gender or age?

They're treated as eligible for all targeting on that attribute, so an unset gender or age doesn't exclude someone from seeing an ad.
