Adding a product takes you through 4 sections: details, images and variants, visibility and category, and settings, before you publish.
Tap the + button on the Shop listing screen to open the Add Product screen. Only Full Admins and Group Admins see this button.
Enter the Product Name and a short Description. The name is required and must be unique within your club's shop.
Enter the Price. PLAI's transaction fee (for example 4.4 percent in the UK) is shown based on your club's region so you know the breakdown before you publish.
Note: The fee is set at the platform level and is not editable per product.
Tap Add Image to upload one or more product photos (JPG, PNG, or WEBP). You can reorder or remove images before publishing.
If the product comes in different options like size or colour, tap Add Variant, give it a name (for example Size), and add each value you need (S, M, L, XL). Set a stock quantity for each value. If you skip this step, set one overall stock quantity instead, or leave it unlimited.
Tap the Visibility section and select which group or groups can see the product, or choose All Members to make it visible to everyone in the club regardless of group. Full Admins can also toggle Show on Club Website; PLAI shows the note "Anyone, members and the public, can see and buy this product on your PLAI website" when this is on, and group selection becomes unavailable while it's on. Group Admins can only choose from groups they administrate and can't toggle Show on Club Website.
Choose a Category for the product from the list provided. Categories are set at the platform level, so you're choosing from the existing list rather than creating a new one.
Under Settings, choose a Fulfilment type: Digital, Pick Up at Club, or Shipping. Shipping asks the buyer for a delivery address at checkout; the other two do not.
Optionally set a Max quantity per buyer to stop members buying in bulk. Leave it blank for no limit.
Toggle Email and/or Push notifications on if you want members in the visibility group(s) notified the moment the product goes live.
Review the completed screen and tap Publish. The product goes live immediately for the selected group(s), and any notifications you turned on are sent.
Tip: Not ready to publish? Tap Save as Draft at any point. The product stays hidden from members until you come back and publish it.
FAQ
Can I publish a product with no variants?
Yes. If you do not add any variants, the product uses a single overall stock quantity instead, and members will not see a variant selector.
What happens if I do not select a category?
The product is still published, just listed as "Uncategorised."
Can members see a product before I publish it?
No. A draft product is never visible to members, even if you have filled in every section.
