Testing the App Like a Client

Want to see exactly what your clients experience? You can test the PlanitEasy client app yourself.

Before You Start

You need a different email address than your PlanitEasy advisor account. The client app uses email-based authentication, so your advisor email won't work for client-side testing.

💡 Use a personal email (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) or create a test email.

Step-by-Step

Step 1: Create a test traveler profile

In your PlanitEasy account, create a profile using your test email. Add this traveler to a trip.

Step 2: Share the itinerary

From the trip's Planner page, share the itinerary to your test email.

Step 3: Download the client app

  • iOS: Apple App Store

  • Android: Google Play Store

⚠️ Sign up in the app using your test email, NOT your advisor email.

Step 4: View your itinerary

Once logged in, you'll see the itinerary exactly as your client would — all reservations, day details, photos, and notes.

Testing on the Web (Without the App)

You don't need the mobile app. When you share an itinerary, the email contains a link that works in any browser. Use an incognito/private window (so you're not logged into your advisor account) to see the web version of the client experience.

What You Can Test

  • Itinerary views (Overview, Summary, Daily, Map)

  • Forms — send yourself one and fill it out as the client

  • Invoices and payment links

  • Uploaded documents

  • Push notifications

  • In-app messaging

Troubleshooting

Can't get the email confirmation?

Make sure you're using the same email address that's on the traveler profile in PlanitEasy. Check spam/junk folder. If it's not there either, verify the email address is spelled correctly in the profile.

No trips showing in the app?

Make sure you shared the itinerary to the test email and the trip has at least one reservation.

Itinerary looks different than expected?

The client app shows your chosen itinerary design (Classic or Modern). See Classic and Modern Itinerary Design.
