Adding Placeholders
This is a quick way to create temporary activity Planns directly from the GUEST screen.
This is especially useful when you are multi-tasking and taking care of multiple requests that an upcoming guest sends to you by email. For example, a guest may write and tell you that they will need airport transfers for their arrival and departure to your hotel, and that they would like to do one snorkeling tour and one waterfall tour, and that they would also like a couples massage. So you would create Placeholders for:
Arrival Transfer
Spa
Tour
Tour
Departure
Here's the process you will use to set Placeholders:
While in a guest record, select Add Placeholders from the menu.
That will open a popup where you can select the activities you need to book.
Select the number of each of these items you need. This is the number of activities, not the number of people. So in this case you would choose 1 Arrival, 2 Tour, 1 Spa, 1 Departure.
Then Placeholders will appear on the PLANNS screen where you can edit them right away or at a convenient time. This ensures you or your staff will follow up!
