This settings page has fields to set information about your company that will be used in various ways within the Planniac app.

We begin with standard information including your company name, default currency, whether tour prices include tax, company email, phone etc.

Currency settings

Note that once the default currency (which must match Cloudbeds currency) and GST on tours has been set, should never be changed. This is mainly used for display purposes; however, changing this to an incorrect setting will give the wrong information to front desk staff and to guests (for example guest tour information may indicate tours include tax when they do not and show the price in the wrong currency). Changing these fields does not do any kind of currency conversion.

Tax settings

If you charge sales tax (such as VAT, GST or other Sales Tax), you need to match it to Cloudbeds as well. Give your tax a name, input the percent of tax, and select whether it is included or excluded in activity prices.

Google map settings

The guest itinerary can now display the hotel location and directions using Google Maps by clicking on the menu button on the top right of the itinerary screen. If you want to include the Google Map link, you can create the link yourself if you have a Google Cloud account. Otherwise, please contact us and we will create the link for you using the Planniac Google Cloud account.

The itinerary can also provide a direct link to your hotel website (or to a specific page on your website) if you put the hotel website (or link to specific page) into the field in Settings > Business Settings.

Communication settings

On this screen you will also see communications settings. The email address and numbers listed here will be used on the guest itinerary. It is important that they are correct or the communications tool will not work.

Legal age settings

Avoid serious issues that could arise if your property does not adhere to legal ages for minor children or the legal drinking age. When you set those ages on this page, the information will appear on desktop, mobile, and printed reports. For example, your restaurant and bar staff can look at the restaurant report and be made aware there is an underage guest.

While Planniac gives you the tool to record the ages of children, it is of course up to your team to collect that information from guests. This feature will not be useful unless the information is collected and recorded!

Images

You can customize your hotel logo, itinerary header, itinerary icon, and meal card logo. Simply click on the image you'd like to replace and upload a new one. Ask Planniac Support if you need assistance!
