The General Information settings allow you to set company-wide preferences for Planniac's setup.
Planns Screen Settings
Allowed Task Types
The first settings are for allowed task types. These include Front Desk, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Kitchen, Restaurant, Reservations, Drivers, Security, Shuttle and Concierge. We suggest you toggle those settings “on” until you are sure which you will use or not use.
Task Visibility
This toggle switch allows you to hide Reservations tasks from Level 1-4 users.
Group Activities on Dashboard
When groups book activities together, they will appear in a collapsed menu on the Planns Dashboard. This is a space saver if you do a lot of group business. You can select the minimum number of reservations in a group to consider them combined. The default setting is 2, so any group activity with 2 or more rooms participating will be shown as a single collapsed line item on the Planns Dashboard.
Dashboard Layout
There are two toggle switches. The first lets you choose whether you would like to break up the Planns Dashboard with the headings of Today, Tomorrow & Upcoming. The second controls whether you will see one or three columns of pricing. The default is the selection of "Show Balance Column Only."
Colors
Set the colors you’ll use to highlight activities on the Planns Dashboard. We recommend very subtle colors as it can be difficult to see text clearly through bright highlights.
Quotation Module Settings
The Planniac Quotations module is designed to help you respond to reservations inquiries quickly and accurately. The settings here let you establish preferences for managing your quotations. These are described below.
Ignore Room Availability
The default for the Ignore Room Availability toggle switch is “off.” If you turn it on, you can provide quotations even when there are no rooms available on the dates the guest requested.
Ignore Price Increase
This toggle switch allows you to decide whether you want to alert the inquirer when there is a price increase on the rooms you had quoted.
Ignore Price Decrease
With this toggle switch you can control whether to alert the inquirer when the price on the rooms you quoted has decreased. You can customize the popup text in Settings > Templates > Quotation Link.
Follow up Timing
You can generate automatic tasks to remind staff to follow up on reservation inquiries. For example, you may wish to follow up in 1 day and then again in 7 days if the reservation has not yet been confirmed. Once created, these will appear on the Planns dashboard visible to Level 5 and Level 6 users.
Room Charge & House Accounts
The Room Charge & House Accounts toggle switches default to “off.” However, if your resort has a policy that requires all incidentals to be billed via the Cloudbeds folio, then you can switch on the “Require Guest Charges to Cloudbeds Folio” and “Require Non-Guest Charges to Cloudbeds House Account” toggles.

There is a timeout setting. This is the amount of time Planniac will stay logged in for an inactive user. 30 minutes is the default.
