You can delegate Planns to sub-vendors

Using sub-vendors can help, especially with in-house services

Using Primary Resources and sub-vendors, you can have the primary activity responsibility fall under one company or department while the actual activity is provided by someone else.

Examples of uses:

  • An in-house spa (primary resource) that uses freelance masseuses (sub-vendors) to provide the service

  • An in-house tour operator (primary resource) that subcontracts to another tour operator or a freelance guide (sub-vendors) for tours

Step 1: Designate a Primary Resource

When setting up an operator in Planniac's Resources section, you can designate it as a Primary Resource.

Step 2: Set up sub-vendors as resources

Also in Resources, be sure to include any sub-vendors as resources.

Step 3: Schedule Planns with Primary Resources and Sub-vendors

Add Planns as usual. When you select a resource that has been set up as a primary resource, a second dropdown box will appear to allow you to designate a sub-vendor.

What it looks like on the Planns dashboard

When you hover over the little symbol next to the primary resource name, you'll see the sub-vendor along with their phone number as long as you've included that in the Resources setup.
