Learn this technique to save a little time when booking multiple activities

Let's say you have a reservation for a couple, and they have already asked you to provide:

  • an arrival transfer

  • a tour (bridge climb)

  • tickets for a museum

  • a departure transfer

Well, you could do that by creating those activities one at a time. Or, by using the Placeholders tool to quickly add them to Planniac, and then go back and edit the details.

But there's a third way that not every Planniac user is aware of. That's using Custom Packages to create a quick "packaged" itinerary for the guest with the important details input right off the bat.

Start on the Planns page by clicking the red "+" and selecting "Package" from the dropdown list.

Select the reservation and date of the first activity.

Next, select "Custom Package."

A new window will pop up. Name the package and select the package provider (normally your hotel or a tour operator/travel agent). For a custom package, most likely you'll use the "Sum of Activity Pricing" which just means the price of the package equals the total price of the activities you select.

Then it's time to add the activities. In this example, we're adding an arrival transfer, a bridge climb tour, an art museum ticket reservation, and a departure transfer. Just select the date, activity, resource and times, then Save, and you're good to go! All those activities will now appear on your Planns.

Don't forget to save it when you're done!

On the Planns screen, note that the activity prices will be charged according the prices you have set up in your Resources area.

This was just a quick overview -- for more information about Using Packages please refer to the guide in our Help Center.

You can also set up standard packages in Resources.

Should you always use packages? Probably not. It's just another part of the Planniac arsenal for conquering front desk tasks.
