Timeline Songs on the Music page

Timeline Songs gives you a project-wide view of the music connected to your timelines.

Instead of checking each timeline item one by one, you can open the Music page to quickly see which moments already have songs selected, which moments still need a song, and any notes connected to those selections.

Timeline Songs is not a separate timeline builder. It pulls from the timeline items you have already added a song to. When a timeline item has a Song or Song Needed attached to it, that item appears on the Music page under its timeline.

Each project Timeline is listed on the left side of the Music page.

Each timeline also appears as a card on the right:

The Ceremony & Reception timeline, showing the timeline items with an attached Song (or Song Needed).

The Rehearsal timeline. No timeline items have a Song or Song Needed, so it shows as empty on the Music page.

Adding a song-related item to Timeline Songs

The Music page only shows timeline items that already exist on one of your project timelines. The Music page lets you add or update the song selection for those timeline items, but it's not a place to edit or add to the overall timeline.

For example: you’re on the Music page and realize you need to add First Dance to the reception timeline. You’ll first go to the timeline editor, add First Dance to the timeline, and add a song to it.

Once music has been attached, First Dance will automatically appear in the Timeline Songs section of the Music page. This keeps the Music page focused on reviewing and managing music, while the timeline editor remains the place where timeline moments are created and organized.

Adding/Updating songs from the Music page

Once a timeline item appears in Timeline Songs, you can update its song details directly from the Music page.

This is helpful when you are reviewing music across the whole project and want to quickly fill in missing selections, adjust a song choice, or add notes without opening each timeline item one at a time.

Any changes you make from the Music page stay connected to the original timeline item. For example, if you update the song for First Dance from the Music page, that updated song will also be reflected on the timeline item itself.

You can also use song notes for extra details the DJ, band, or planning team may need, such as where the song should start, whether it should fade out, or any special context for that moment.

Sharing Timeline Songs with Clients

Timeline Songs can be shared with clients as part of the Music page.

When a client has edit access to the Music page, they can help fill in or update song selections for timeline items that already appear in Timeline Songs. This is especially helpful for moments like First Dance, Parent Dances, Ceremony Processional, or Grand Entrance where the client may need to provide the final song choice.

Clients can update the song selection and notes, but they cannot add new timeline items from the Music page. They also cannot remove the timeline item’s music connection entirely. This keeps the timeline structure in your control while still giving clients a simple way to provide the music details you need.
