Overview
For a limited time, you can earn 20% cashback, paid in XPL, on eligible travel purchases made with your Plasma One card, up to a total of $50 per account.
The promotion runs from 3 September at 2pm UTC until 16 September at 23.59pm UTC.
Your purchase must be an eligible travel transaction and it must be initiated inside this window to qualify.
Who can participate
New users: sign up during the promotion window, add money to your account, and make an eligible travel purchase before the window closes.
Existing users: you qualify if you are a Core or Platinum member. Existing Lite members are not eligible for this promotion. Lite users need to upgrade to Core or Platinum in order to benefit from this promotion.
You do not need to opt in. If you qualify and make an eligible travel purchase during the window, the promotional rate applies automatically.

Plasma may exclude any participant, merchant, or transaction from the promotion at its discretion, including for suspected abuse or unusual refund activity, both before and during the promotion.
What counts as eligible travel spend
Eligibility is based on the merchant category your purchase settles under:

Travel agencies and booking platforms | Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, and other travel agencies and tour operators |
Cashback will only be paid on transactions above $1 and there is no per-transaction cap.
There is a limit of $50 cashback per person in total for the promotion.
The following do not earn the promotional rate:
Timeshares
Car rental
Rail, taxis, and buses
Purchases at excluded merchants, including Trip.com and HopeGoo
Declined, reversed, or refunded transactions and chargebacks
Cash-like transactions and the exclusions listed in the Plasma One Rewards Addendum
⚠️ Important: whether a purchase qualifies depends on how the merchant processes the payment. Some platforms, such as Airbnb, process payments under different merchant categories depending on the booking, so we cannot guarantee every booking on a given platform will qualify. Plasma decides whether a purchase qualifies.
Cashback is calculated when your transaction settles or is captured, not when it is authorised.
How this works with your standard cashback
Promotional cashback does not stack with your other cashback rates.
On each transaction you receive whichever single rate gives you the most cashback: the promotional travel rate, your standard tier rate, or a boosted rate such as airline cashback.
This means that if one of your existing benefits already pays you more on a purchase than the travel promotion would, that benefit applies instead and the purchase does not draw from your $50 promotional cap.
When will I get paid?
Promotional cashback accrues instantly and shows as pending in the app.
Unlike standard cashback, which is paid weekly, promotional travel cashback is held for 30 days after the promotion ends before payout while transactions are reviewed.
Rewards that pass review are paid in XPL to your XPL balance.
If a purchase is refunded, reversed, or found ineligible before payout, the pending cashback for that purchase is removed. If it has already been paid, Plasma may reclaim it.
What if I don't see my travel cashback?
Check that the transaction has settled. Pending transactions have not earned cashback yet.
Check the merchant category: car rental, rail, taxis, buses, and timeshares do not qualify, and some booking platforms are excluded (eg: Trip.com, HopeGoo)
Check whether one of your standard benefits applied instead, because it paid more on that purchase.
Remember the 30-day hold: promotional cashback stays pending well after standard cashback would have been paid. Promotional cashback will not be paid out for 30 days once the promotion has finished.
