What is spend credit?

Overview

Plasma One pays rewards in three ways, depending on how you earned them:

Spend credit: paid in USDT, and can only be spent using Plasma One
Cashback: paid in XPL, weekly
Rebates: paid straight to your USD balance, not as credit

Spend credit is a reward paid in USDT that you can spend with your Plasma One card. You can't withdraw it or send it outside Plasma.

You earn spend credit from:

Fixed referral bonuses, such as the $10 referral bonus, the $200 high-spend referral bonus, and the Core and Platinum upgrade bonuses
Second-degree referral rewards
Some limited-time promotions, such as the eBay Cashback Promotion

When you make a card purchase, your spend credit is always used first. Once your spend credit runs out, the rest of the purchase is paid from your balance.

What is cashback?

Cashback is what you earn on eligible card purchases. It's paid in XPL straight to your XPL balance. Your rate depends on your tier and how much you've spent that month.

Cashback is currently paid weekly, on Thursdays. It may stay pending for several days after a transaction posts. Unlike spend credit, XPL is yours to use freely: you can lock it to upgrade your tier, send it to others, or convert it to USD.

What about rebates?

Rebates, such as AI subscription credits, are not spend credit. They're added straight to your balance, just like before.
