In this article, you will learn how to import your contacts into Plezi One,Plus and Star.
Importing your contacts allows you to quickly add prospects to your database, feed them content, and convert them into customers.
Pre-requisites:
For technical reasons, the file should only be imported in CSV or "CSV UTF-8" format on the Mac, and each column must be named (last name, first name, email, etc.) or the import will fail.
The fields and the import file must both be written in the same language.
Each of your contacts must have an email address in the following format: xxxx**@xx.**xx.
All values in drop-down lists and multi-selections must be saved beforehand, so they're identical on both sides: in the csv file and in Plezi.
Step 1: Find the import button.
In this section, we will assume that there are three possible scenarios ?
a) Import via the contact page
Go to contact (1), click on the icon (2), and in the window that opens, locate the Import contacts (3) selection list.
b) Import via All imports
Go to Contact (1) > All imports (2) > Import contacts (3).
c) Import via an email campaign
It is also possible to import your contacts via an email campaign while you are editing it.
On the right-hand side of the window, open the "Emailing" section and click on New campaign or select a campaign saved in your drafts.
Go over to "WHO" tab of your email campaign and select "Imports." (1)
Then click on "+Create import" (2).
Step 2: Mapping fields between Plezi and your file
Check the correspondence between: < column names > and < contact fields >.
Import when your fields' information is correct.
Step 3: Check the status of the import
Click on "View Import List" (1), in the new tab, find Status
Good to know
The import status in Plezi corresponds to the status of your file's import. The various possible states are as follows:
Started: Your file is being imported.
Imported: Your file has been successfully imported.
Failed: The import of your file has failed, and you can upload an error file to know what is going on.

Tips & Tricks
- Before importing, check that there are no duplicate e-mail addresses, as this could cause the import to freeze.
- Be sure to clean up your file so that the values of drop-down or multiple selection fields in Plezi match the values in your file.
- In the event of an error, download the error report, which will tell you what the errors are and how to resolve them, then proceed with a new import.
