[Plugzio Cando] Load Balancing

Load balancing on a Plugzio Cando device

Updated over a week ago

If the device is installed in line with a breaker that is lower than the maximum rating or is connected in line with another device (i.e., multiple devices on the same circuit), the device(s) will have to be load-balanced to avoid tripping the breaker.

This configuration needs to be done on the software side (Plugzio Management Dashboard) by following these instructions.

After adding the details on the dashboard, chargers will follow this behavior:

  • Chargers on the same circuit automatically adjust their loads, depending on how many of them are activated

  • The chargers lower their current accordingly.

  • Plugzio can do devices can go as low as 6A and as high as 40A

Load balancing can be done after the device is registered on Plugzio’s management dashboard at manage.plugz.io. You can learn how to adjust the load balancing on the management dashboard in this article: How can Plugzio level 1 and level 2 devices be load-balanced on the management dashboard?
