Release Notes [April 2024]: Indicators for New and Updated, plus content updates you might have missed
Updated over 3 months ago

Greetings from your Plumb’s team, and welcome to the first edition of our monthly release notes! We’ll publish these release notes each month to keep you informed about all the updates happening behind the scenes with Plumb’s, from new and updated content to feature and functionality updates, bug fixes, and more.

Here’s a roundup of key updates from April.

Content Updates

The following updates cover content in Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs (prescribing information only) and Plumb’s Pro (diagnostic and treatment information + prescribing information).

Our editorial team has been hard at work this month with our extensive network of board-certified specialists and peer reviewers to release new Dx & Tx monographs (Pro), provide crucial updates on drugs, and get new handouts into your hands for clients.

Updated Drug Monographs

Spotlight: Metoclopramide

Looking for the latest information on metoclopramide? We’ve updated our monograph with fresh details about this prokinetic and antiemetic, including detailed information on how to manage an overdose. No matter what species you’re treating, this is how to get things moving the right way. Review the updated monograph here.

Feature & Functionality Updates

Indicators for New & Updated Content

In March, we split the New and Updated sections for Drugs, Handouts, and Dx & Tx into two collapsible sections so it’s easier to differentiate what’s new from what’s updated.

This month, we’ve added indicator numbers that appear when there’s new or updated content you haven’t seen yet.

New and updated items will stay in their respective lists for 60 days, so you have plenty of time to review what’s changed. Clicking on a content item will clear the indicator number, but the item will remain in the list until 60 days have passed.

Expanded Functionality for Close All

When we released the new Plumb’s interface in 2023, we adjusted feature pages and content pages to automatically collapse sections, so it’s easier to scroll through a list of topics or sections and expand only the content you need.

As part of that functionality, we added a Close All button that makes it easy to collapse sections after you open them for easier navigation (and less scrolling).

This month, we’ve adjusted the functionality for this button so it will now collapse Favorites, New, and Updated sections when you’re browsing drugs or clinical topics from a feature page in the iOS or Android app.

Bug Fixes

  • For our university users, the sign out option wasn’t working as expected, so you couldn’t log into an individual account while signed into a university subscription. This has been resolved!

  • Our welcome message for new Plumb’s Pro subscribers wasn’t displaying correctly on small screens. This has been fixed!
