Hi from the Plumb's team! Each month, we share these notes to keep you informed about all the updates happening behind the scenes at Plumb's. You'll find information on new and updated content, feature enhancements, functionality improvements, bug fixes, and more.
Here’s a roundup of key updates from October.
Content Updates
The following updates cover content in both plans: Plumb’s Veterinary Drugs (prescribing information only) and Plumb’s Pro (diagnostic and treatment information + prescribing information).
Our editorial team has been hard at work this month with our extensive network of board-certified specialists and peer reviewers to release new Dx & Tx monographs (Pro), provide crucial updates on drugs, and get new handouts into your hands for clients.
💡Spotlight: New and Improved Dx & Tx (Beta)
Where do you turn when a case takes you by surprise, and you have more questions than answers? We’re testing a new and improved Dx & Tx format to equip you with an unparalleled depth of diagnostic and treatment support and address the “what ifs” in every case you face.
Plus, we've added a new Guidance to Common Clinical Presentations section that covers how to tackle specific clinical scenarios you see in practice, particularly when your patient doesn’t read the textbook.
We’re in the process of testing this beta version of Dx & Tx and would love your thoughts along the way. If you're subscribed to Plumb's Pro, click on the links below to view the new monographs. You'll see a pop up inviting you to complete a brief survey, or you can click Share Feedback in the top right corner of your screen.

Introducing DDx, the new differential diagnosis feature in Plumb’s Pro
We are excited to announce that Plumb’s Pro has a brand new feature!
Getting to a diagnosis starts with considering all the differentials, and with the newest feature in Plumb’s Pro, you can trade in the textbooks and open tabs and find all your differentials in one place.
DDx includes more than 220 peer-reviewed differential diagnosis lists to help you quickly identify and prioritize differentials and confidently choose your next steps.
To try out this new feature, select DDx from the Features menu or type a clinical sign or diagnostic finding into the search bar.
Note: If you’re not currently subscribed to Plumb’s Pro, visit our website to learn more about subscribing or upgrading.
Look for the DDx label in your search results and select the sign or finding you’d like to see differentials for. You’ll immediately see a comprehensive list of common and uncommon differentials organized from most to least likely.
Every DDx list undergoes a rigorous peer-review process and includes references so you can chase down a zebra if need be.
Like all Plumb’s features, DDx is continually updated to help you stay up-to-date with the latest details. Plus, DDx integrates seamlessly with the rest of the features of Plumb’s Pro, so you can get the support you need from diagnosis to discharge.
