🎬 Collaboration

Share session files with clients and run the whole review loop in one place, with timestamped comments, revisions and final approval.

Who this is for: studio operators (admin panel) · Product: Podyx V2

Collaboration is where you hand finished work back to a client and get feedback without a single email chain. You share the files from a session, the client watches them in their portal, leaves comments pinned to exact timestamps, and approves the final version. Everything stays attached to the booking it came from.

🔧 Where to find it

Admin Panel → Collaboration

🛠 Share files from a session

  • Open the Collaboration tab. It shows sessions from the last 7 days, and you can search by client to find any session.

  • Pick the session and create a folder for the files you want to share, for example one folder per recorded episode.

  • Add the video file and set it to shareable, either by link or for a specific customer.

  • Paste the share link into the collaboration area. Your client is notified automatically that a file is ready.

👤 What your client does

The client opens the session from their portal, enters the file area, and plays the files directly there. No download needed just to review. They leave comments on the video and use timestamps to point at the exact moment they mean, so feedback like "cut this part" or "change the intro music" lands on the right second instead of in a vague paragraph.

🔁 The review loop

  • Reply to comments in the thread, so the conversation stays with the file.

  • Mark items resolved as you work through them.

  • Upload a new version when you have made the revisions.

  • Mark the final version as done for approval and download.

Updates appear in real time, so neither side has to refresh or chase the other.

🔌 Where the files live

Collaboration works with Google Drive and Dropbox, so your files stay in the storage you already use and pay for. Podyx handles the sharing, notifications and review layer on top.

🧠 Why it matters

  • No more email ping-pong. Feedback, versions and approval live in one thread attached to the session.

  • Fewer misunderstood edits. A timestamp is unambiguous in a way that "around the middle" never is.

  • A clear finish line. Marking a version final gives both sides an obvious moment of sign-off.

  • It makes you look organized, which is often the difference between a one-off client and a regular.

💡 This is the first release of Collaboration and we are actively building on it. If there is a storage integration or a review feature you need, tell us and it goes on the list.

✅ Summary

Find the session, create a folder, share the file, and let your client comment on it by timestamp. Reply, resolve, upload revisions, then mark the final version approved. Delivery and feedback stop being admin and become part of the product you sell.
