If your card was declined while trying to make a purchase, it may be because you used a prepaid card.
Why prepaid cards aren't accepted
Tolan does not accept prepaid cards, including:
Visa or Mastercard gift cards
Reloadable prepaid debit cards
Most store-issued prepaid cards
If you try to sign up or pay for a subscription using a prepaid card, the payment will usually be declined automatically.
This is because prepaid cards often do not reliably support recurring subscription billing. Since Tolan subscriptions renew automatically, prepaid cards can cause renewal payments to fail.
What to use instead
To sign up or pay for your Tolan subscription, please use:
A credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover)
A debit card linked to a bank account
If you're unsure what type of card you have, check with your card issuer or look for “PREPAID” printed on the front or back of the card.
