Introduction to EPR

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) places the onus on producers for the entire lifecycle of their products, including waste management and recycling. From July 1, 2025, companies introducing packaging in Denmark must finance and organize the collection, sorting, and treatment of packaging waste.

Key Reporting Requirements:

  • Annual reporting of packaging quantities in kilograms, categorized by material type (e.g., plastic, glass, paper).

  • Payment of fees based on reported quantities to cover waste management costs.

How to work with EPR within the platform?

The big challenge is Data Collection and Maintenance. Regular collection and updates on packaging data are resource-intensive when managed manually.

With in the platform you can collaborate with suppliers through Prduct's platform, you can gather EPR-relevant data in one place. By creating products and packaging and linking them you always have a complete overview.

The platform enable you to have all packaging data with specific materials, weight, dimensions etc. and when linked to products you have precise information about what to report at any give moment. If you integrate your sales data and invoice data you can have a complete live overview all the time down to a specific material, product or country.

If you want to know specific how to link products and packaging, collaborate with suppliers and so on? Go check out the other guides or ask the chat bot in the right corner.
