Temporary Bug in PREO: Service/MPS Pools Missing on SSA/Lease Documents
A temporary issue in PREO may cause assigned Service or MPS pools to be missing from SSA or Lease documents. Please remember to thoroughly review all documentation for accuracy before sending it to the customer for signature.
Issue Overview
In certain cases, when a proposal is duplicated (using the save as feature) the equipment will lose links to the contract tab. The below steps will walk you through how to fix this.
How to Reassociate Equipment to a Service Pool After an Equipment Change
Scenario: When Sales reconfigures a machine on an order, PREO may remove the unit’s association with the service pool. To correct this, you must manually reassociate the equipment.
Step 1: Open the Order
Action: Navigate to the order where the equipment was reconfigured.
Goal: Access the affected equipment line.
Step 2: Go to the Equipment Tab
Action: Select the Equipment tab on the order.
Goal: View all equipment lines tied to the order.
Step 3: Switch to the Service View
Action: In the Equipment tab, change the view to Service.
Goal: Display all service‑related fields.
Step 4: Locate the Affected Unit
Action: Identify the equipment line that was reconfigured.
Goal: Ensure you are updating the correct machine.
Step 5: Recheck Service / MPS Boxes
Action: Under the Include in Contract column, uncheck and recheck the following boxes:
Service
MPS (if applicable)
Goal: Reassociate the unit with the correct service pool.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Action: Save the record.
Goal: Ensure downstream processes recognize the updated association.
Verify the Correction
Generate the order documents to confirm that the service pools now appear correctly.
