PREO stores Global Item configurations and Regional Pricebook configurations.

Global Item Configuration

These are items that are available to be used across all Regions within PREO. The items are configured by setting the transfer cost, MSRP, category, accessories, accessory rules, and more. This area can be managed by Global Administrators and Item Configurators. Regional Administrators have read-only access to Global Item data.

Regional Pricebook Configurations

Regional Administrators can enable/disable Global Items to be available within Regional Pricebooks. Region's have a default pricebook and the option to have custom pricebooks that are further enabled/disabled on a per user basis. Within the regional pricebook, the item rep cost is set. Regional Pricebooks also are used to set service pricing on a per item basis.

The combination of Global Item and Regional Pricebooks allows PREO to maintain a shared item catalog across all regions and provide the flexibility for regional pricing controls.

Instructions for updating the Global Item Catalog

  1. Using the Product Configurator received via email, split the work up across the team evenly.

  2. Before each change, one team member shall take the "team lead"

  3. Each team member shall work through their spreadsheet and highlight each row in green as the work is completed.

  4. When all rows for their work has been completed, they should send the file to the team.

  5. Once all work has been considered complete, the team lead shall select at least 10 random items across each team members work and spot check the work in PREO to confirm accuracy.

  6. A summary of this work, a copy of the configurator email with attachment, and screenshots from PREO must be documented and stored on a central file repository (such as Teams channel) for history of changes with the sign off by the team lead.

Instructions for updating Regional Pricebook (including Custom Pricebooks) (Create Teams channel for each Region and add each Regional Admin)
