How Preorders Are Handled by Third-Party Shipping Apps

Preorders placed through the PreOrder Now app are treated as regular orders in Shopify.

This means:

  • There is no special handling of preorder items.

  • Orders with preorder products are processed like any other order.

  • They are sent to your shipping app or third-party logistics tool the same way as standard orders.

⚠️ Important:
If an order contains both preorder and non-preorder items, your fulfillment process may be affected. Be sure to account for this when setting up your shipping workflows.
