Update to “Enable Preorder for All Products”

How to enable preorder for all products in your store with the latest update.

Updated this week

We’ve recently disabled the “Enable Preorder for All Products” setting as part of ongoing improvements to PreOrder Now. Due to some stability issues, we are replacing it with a more reliable system for enabling preorder across multiple products.

What This Means for Your Store

If you previously used Enable Preorder for All Products, here’s what you need to know:

1. Your existing preorder products will stay enabled.

Nothing will change on your storefront. Any product that was already set to preorder will remain on preorder.

2. The global setting can no longer be edited.

You won’t be able to toggle, update, or modify the “Enable All” option anymore. The button/setting will appear disabled in your dashboard.

3. New products must be enabled individually.

To turn on preorder for new items, please use the Preorder Products page or our multi-select tools.

4. A cleanup update will remove the old setting completely.

We will run a one-time cleanup script soon to fully disable the feature for all stores.

This will not remove preorder from any of your products - it only removes the broken global option.

Why We Made This Change

The old “Enable All” setting was causing technical issues, including performance problems.

We are replacing it with a more accurate and scalable system, including:

  • Enabling preorder by product category (coming soon)

  • Improved tag-based bulk enabling

  • More reliable multi-product tools

These updates will give you better control over large catalogs without the risks of store-wide activation.
