We've made updates to improve the functionality of preorder tags and preorder products. These changes prevent overlap and help you clearly understand which products are controlled by tag settings and which are individually assigned.
What’s New?
Preorder tags and products are now completely separate.
You can no longer:
Add a tag to a product that is already a preorder product.
Add a product to the preorder list if it already has a preorder tag.
This prevents duplicated settings and ensures you only use one method at a time—either tag-based or product-based preorder settings.
Improvements When Adding Preorder Products
When you go to add new preorder products, you’ll see:
Your current preorder products are preselected, so you don’t accidentally add them again.
Tagged products are hidden from this list to avoid confusion.
Viewing Tag-Associated Products
Inside your Preorder Tags, you’ll find:
All products are currently associated with each tag.
Any products already assigned as preorder products (which won't be affected by the tag settings).
Switching Between Tags and Product Settings
If you want to change how a product is managed, here’s what to do:
From Tag to Product Setting
Remove the tag from the product in Shopify.
Or delete the preorder tag entirely.
The product will now appear in the Add Preorder Products list.
From Product to Tag Setting
Delete the product from your preorder products list.
Then go to your tags section and set up a new preorder tag as usual.
These updates should make managing preorders more straightforward and error-free. If you have any questions or encounter issues, please contact our support team for assistance.
