Written by František Vondrák

Release date: 10 June 2026

Version: 2.1.5

Lalels: Test, Test

primaTime 2.1.5 unifies the task board, adds selective duplication, and puts your time periods on a schedule.

This update merges project statuses with board columns, saves board setups as custom views, introduces selective duplication for projects, templates, and tasks, locks past time automatically on a daily-to-yearly schedule, archives a client together with its projects and tasks, and adds recents, saved datagrid options, and finance updates — all from your feedback.

1. Tasks & Projects

🧩 Unified Statuses & Board Columns

The board column and the task status are now the same thing. Move a task to another column and its status changes with it — no separate Section field to keep in sync.

How it works:

  • Simple projects no longer have separate Sections — each former section becomes a project status

  • Drag a task to another column and its status updates on its own

  • Group the board by Status, Priority, Due date, or Assignee

  • Reorder any column by dragging its header — the order is saved and shows the same way in Settings

  • By default a task can move between any statuses; you can limit which moves are allowed in Tasks Workflow

  • Add, rename, or delete a status straight from the board header

Why you'll love it: One thing instead of two. "What state is this task in?" has a single answer, shown the same way on the board, in the task, and in reports.

Where to find it: Any project → Board

📑 Selective Duplication for Projects, Templates & Tasks

Make a copy of a project, save a project as a reusable template, or copy a task — and pick what comes along.

How it works:

  • Projects and templates: a window opens where you tick what to copy — members, the workflow, labels, billable status, dates, budgets, and which tasks come along (all tasks, or only the unfinished ones)

  • Tasks (new): copy a task with everything, or open the window and tick exactly what to copy — status, who it's assigned to, the description, attachments, labels, priority, dates, and more

  • Every copy is named Copy of [original] — change it before you confirm

  • Tracked time is never copied

Why you'll love it: Start a fresh project from an old one without bringing along old dates, the people who were assigned, and tasks you've already finished.

Where to find it: Three-dot menu on any project or task → Duplicate / Create a template

⚖️ Unified Time & Price Budget Scope

Time Budget now has the same scope choice as Price Budget, so both budgets count the same way.

How it works:

  • A new choice under Time Budget: All time records or Billable time records only

  • Billable time records only counts only billable time toward the budget — matching a billable-only view

  • New projects start on All time records; existing projects keep what they have today

  • Change the choice and the budget consumption updates right away across the project list, detail, dashboard, and reports

Why you'll love it: When you look at billable work, the budget reflects billable work. No more mismatched numbers.

Where to find it: Project form → Time budget

2. Clients

🗃️ Cascade Archive for Clients

Archive a client and close out its projects and tasks in the same step.

How it works:

  • Archiving a client that still has active projects or tasks opens a confirmation showing how many of each belong to the client

  • Choose Archive client only, or Archive client with all its active projects and tasks

  • Everything is archived in one step; items you've already archived are left as they are

  • Unarchiving the client later does not reopen its projects or tasks — you do that when you need to

Why you'll love it: Wrap up an engagement in one step, with nothing left open by accident.

Where to find it: Any client → three-dot menu → Archive

3. Time Tracking

🔒 Automatic Period Lock

Lock past time on a schedule — daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly — so old periods close themselves.

How it works:

  • Set how often the lock moves forward: every set number of days, weeks, months, or years

  • Choose the point it locks to — the day of the week, the day of the month, or the date in the year — and the time of day it runs

  • Turn on Automatically update lock date and the lock moves forward on its own

  • Regular users can't change time before the lock date or add entries to past dates

Why you'll love it: Set it once and closed periods stay closed, without remembering to move the lock each month.

Where to find it: Settings → Time Tracking

✏️ Bulk Edit Time Records

Set the user on several time records at once, and recalculate their prices in bulk.

How it works:

  • Select a few time records and the bulk-edit toolbar appears

  • Once you set the Project, a User row appears — its picker only shows people who can work on that project or client, so you can't assign someone who isn't on it

  • When a user is set first, the project and client choices narrow to what that person can be assigned to

  • A new Recalculate price action in the toolbar refreshes the prices on the selected records — a confirmation step asks before it runs

Why you'll love it: Move a batch of entries to the right person and refresh their prices, without opening each record one by one.

Where to find it: Time records → select records → bulk-edit toolbar

🔁 Automatic Prefill Now Covers Stopwatch Restart

Restarting the stopwatch follows your Automatic prefill setting — carry the last entry over, or start clean.

How it works:

  • With Automatic prefill on, restarting the stopwatch keeps the values from your most recent entry — client, project, task, and the rest

  • With it off, a restarted stopwatch starts with empty fields

  • Either way, the restarted stopwatch starts at the moment you restart it

Why you'll love it: Split one piece of work across several records, or start clean between unrelated tasks — one setting decides.

Where to find it: Personal settings → Time Tracking → Automatic prefill

📆 Selected Period Stays Across Pages

The date range you pick on one time-tracking page now carries to the others.

How it works:

  • Set a range in Calendar and it's the same when you open Dashboard, and the other way around

  • One selected range across the time-tracking pages — no re-picking as you move between them

Why you'll love it: Set the range once and every time-tracking page shows the same window.

Where to find it: Time tracking → any page

4. Navigation & Views

🕔 Project & Client Recents

The projects and clients you use most are one click away in the pickers.

How it works:

  • Each project and client you use is added to a recents list in the picker

  • The five most recent of each show at the top

Why you'll love it: The projects and clients you work with daily sit right at the top — no scrolling or searching.

Where to find it: Any project or client picker

🗂️ Custom Board Views

Save the way you've set up a board — your filters and board options — as a view you can come back to.

How it works:

  • Set your filters and board options on the board, and they're saved to that view automatically

  • Each view keeps its own setup, so you can switch between views and pick up where you left off

  • Views follow you across devices

Why you'll love it: Your board, set up your way, ready every time you open it.

Where to find it: Any project → Board

⚙️ DataGrid & Board Options, Saved Per View

One Options panel for every datagrid and board, with your choices remembered per view.

How it works:

  • Show summary turns the totals row at the top on or off

  • Auto-save keeps your edits without a separate save step

  • Density sets the row spacing: compact, comfortable, or spacious

  • Default export settings set how that view exports (Time records reports only)

  • Your choices are saved per view, so each view keeps its own setup

Why you'll love it: Set each grid and board the way you like to read it, once per view.

Where to find it: Any datagrid or board → Options

5. Finance & Invoicing

🧾 Invoices & Billing Statement Updates

A few changes to how you create and output invoices and billing statements.

How it works:

  • A new Create option sits alongside Save draft and Create & Export, so you can finalize without exporting — available while the document is in Draft

  • After Create or Create & Export, you land back in the datagrid

  • A new Print option opens the document ready to print, under Export PDF

Why you'll love it: Finalize a document without forcing an export, and print straight from the detail view.

Where to find it: Finance → Invoices / Billing statements
