AccountEdge Pro is $20 USD per month for its initial license, and is meant for customers who have a setup where they do not need to share their company files with other users. The company files reside locally on your machine alongside an install of the software. It is available for both Mac and Windows operating systems, with the following system requirements listed here.
The Windows version of AccountEdge Pro allows you to have multi-user access locally, meaning they must be in the same office/network. This is common for anyone who has their own unique IT setup or process. This same functionality does not exist for Mac versions--there are no multi-user capabilities in the Mac version of Pro. Mac users that need multi-user access of company files must switch to Network Edition.
