AccountEdge Network Edition is a desktop version of AccountEdge that is used in a local, multi-user environment, where you may not have a unique IT setup and need to access the same company file between several people on different computers in the same office/local network.
Network Edition is $30 USD per month, and includes two licenses by default, as it is meant for a multi-user setup. It is intended for customers who do not have a unique IT setup or servers, but need to share their company files locally. It functions by having one person's machine designated as the 'Host' while traffic is routed from other computers into a shared file directory. This is done using FileConnect, a program that is installed through AccountEdge on the Host computer.
Network Edition cannot be used on unique IT setups, cloud-based servers, or during remote work. All of these setups can lead to file corruption in the software. AccountEdge will not support Network Edition outside its intended setup.
