Web Clipper FAQs
How do I download the Web Clipper?
You can download the Web Clipper from the Google Chrome Store here.
Which browser should I use?
Currently, the Web Clipper is only available to download on Google Chrome on desktop. It's worth noting the Web Clipper is unable to be used on mobile such as Apple iOS or Android.
Can the extension appear on my toolbar at all times?
Yes. To pin the clipper to your toolbar, click the puzzle icon to open your extension options, then select the pin icon next to the Programa Web Clipper.
I'm unable to select the image on the webpage, how can I save it to the Web Clipper?
The Programa Web Clipper successfully captures about 95% of product images without issue. Occasionally, it may have difficulty saving images uploaded in unsupported file formats. In those cases, we recommend using the screenshot tool to manually snip the image and insert it into the Web Clipper window.
How do I delete an image I accidentally uploaded?
Hover your mouse over the image thumbnail in the Web Clipper window, and click the X in the top corner of the image.
Can I add a product to the Product Library at the same time as the Schedule?
After adding the product to the Schedule, scroll to the top of the Web Clipper window and change the import destination to Product Library. All previously clipped information will remain in the window - simply click the Clip button to save it to your library.
Will entering a Doc code update all products with the same code across my entire Schedule or projects?
The magic of the Web Clipper lies in its precision. The update will only apply to products with the specific Doc code within the project, Schedule, and section you are working on.
Is the Web Clipper available for iPads?
At the moment, the Web Clipper is a Google Chrome extension, which iPads don’t support. We recommend using this tool on a desktop.
Will entering a Doc code update all products with the same code across my entire schedule or projects?
The magic of the Web Clipper lies in its precision. The update will only apply to products with the specific Doc code within the project, schedule, and section you are working on.
What if I have multiple products with the same Doc code within a schedule and section, and I want to avoid unintended updates?
If you're using Doc codes to differentiate between different options within your schedule as an example, we recommend web clipping without entering a Doc code initially. Once the product is added, you can manually enter the appropriate Doc code to ensure selective updates.
What if I don't typically use Doc codes?
Not a problem! If you prefer not to use Doc codes, we suggest entering any temporary code while editing the product information using the Web Clipper. You can always delete the code later if it's not needed.
Is there a way to go back to the main menu to select a different project—essentially backing out of an incorrectly selected project?
Yes, you can return from an incorrectly selected project/schedule in the Web Clipper. To do this, simply click on the previously selected title, and you'll be taken back to the previous section.
