How Do I Prepare My Product Information?
Getting your product data ready might seem a bit tricky, but don’t worry—we’re here to make it as smooth as possible. If your website and marketing materials are up to date, you should have most of the information you need.
You’ll need to provide your product details in an Excel file, along with a folder of product images. Make sure the image file names match the product names in your CSV for a seamless process!

What’s Involved in the CSV Process?
Here’s a quick overview of the steps:
1. Reviewing Your Data
Once we receive your Excel file (using the template linked above), we’ll review it for any missing or incorrect information, such as:
Missing product names, categories, or prices.
Required fields not completed.
Mismatches between product names and images.
2. Data Reformatting
Our Quality Assurance (QA) team will review and reformat your data if necessary. Once everything is cleaned up, we’ll send it back to you for approval.
3. Product Upload
Once you approve the data, we’ll upload your products to Programa. If further changes are needed, we’ll make adjustments and keep the process moving forward.
File and Image Requirements:
File format: The product file should be in Excel format.
Image format: Product images must be JPEGs, with a maximum file size of 2MB each.
How Long Does It Take?
For a typical batch of around 500 products (SKUs), the process usually takes about 10 days, depending on the structure and accuracy of your data.
Is There a Fee for This Service?
Yes, there is a fee for the initial data cleanse and upload. Fees start at $835 + GST for up to 500 SKUs. For a custom quote, reach out to your Programa representative.
Is There a Fee Every Time I Make a Change?
No! If you’d like to make bulk updates to your products, such as pricing changes, this service is complimentary. Simply contact your Programa representative to request an updated copy of your data to edit.
What If I Want to Add More Products?
If you want to add a large number of new products via CSV, please get in touch with your Programa representative for a quote.
How do I Export my Product Data from my Website?

WordPress: As WordPress sites vary, your developer can assist with exporting your product information.
Custom Websites: For larger custom websites, your web developer should be able to export all the necessary data. We recommend exporting everything, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Product Data FAQs
Do we need to include prices?
Yes, we require RRP (ex-GST) for all products. If your product is highly customizable or modular, you can leave the price field blank for now.
What are product features?
Features are descriptive tags that help users find your product, such as “sustainable,” “leather,” or “Australian Made.”
Can a product be in multiple categories?
No, each product can only be assigned to one category.
How do you handle product variants?
Please follow the instructions within our CSV template. Variants such as size, color, finishes, and materials are available. To ensure clarity, provide an outline of the variants within the product description and showcase images of each.
What if all our products are custom?
In this case, we suggest uploading an example product with an indicative RRP, and you can use the description to outline the available customization options.
Are there other ways to add my products to Programa?
Yes! If your website is built on Shopify or WooCommerce, you can easily sync your products using our Programa API. For more details, check out our Shopify and WooCommerce guides.
If you have a smaller number of products and don’t need a bulk-upload solution, you can add products manually within your account settings.
