Geocode Usage in ProgressionLIVE

Manage Your Monthly Geocode Usage Efficiently

Geocodes allow addresses to be located and mapped within ProgressionLIVE, helping optimize route planning and field operations. To help you manage your usage, each plan includes a monthly geocode allocation.

What Is a Geocode?

A geocode is generated when an address is located on a map. This information is used by several ProgressionLIVE features, including:

  • Displaying addresses on maps.

  • Route planning and optimization.

  • Dispatching service calls.

  • Calculating distances between jobs.

What Increases Geocode Usage?

Your geocode consumption may increase when:

  • Adding new customer addresses.

  • Importing large batches of customers or service locations.

  • Frequently updating existing addresses.

  • Extensively using maps and route-planning tools.

  • Creating new service calls linked to addresses that have never been geocoded before.

Best Practices

  • Monitor the usage notifications received by email.

  • Ensure addresses entered in the system are complete and accurate to avoid unnecessary geocoding requests.

  • Review your monthly usage to select the most cost-effective package.

  • If your organization imports large address lists or relies heavily on route optimization, consider adding an additional package.
