Call Forwarding Modes
Classic Mode
Classic is the default call forwarding mode. It’s ideal for users primarily using the mobile app in the field.
Outbound calls made through the mobile app display your ProLine number.
Incoming calls to your ProLine number ring on your mobile device, with the device displaying the call as coming from "ProLine number."
Receive push notifications with caller ID for saved contacts.
Unanswered calls are sent to ProLine voicemail.
NOTE: For most users, we recommend sticking with Classic Mode. That said, we have other modes with specific use cases.
Hybrid Mode
Missed calls go to the voicemail system on your personal cell phone.
Eliminates the need to press "1" to answer, connecting directly to your phone when you pickup.
Uses your phone’s voicemail system for missed calls instead of ProLine’s voicemail.
Direct Mode
Directs incoming calls to show the caller's actual number, allowing direct return calls from a different device.
Bypasses ProLine's voicemail system and uses your phone's voicemail system.
Suitable for ProLine numbers used as front-facing business numbers.
Browser Mode
Inbound calls ring through the ProLine browser interface rather than the mobile app.
Note that all modes support outbound call through the browser.
Best for office managers or answering services using a desktop environment.
Forwarding Number
For the Classic, Hybrid, and Direct modes to work, you'll need to provide a forwarding number.
In the Forward Calls To text box, enter in your the phone number of the device that you'll be using ProLine on.
The Outbound Call Settings text box defaults to the same number you entered in the Forward Calls To text box. However, if you can change it to different number if you use an answering service. That said, it should almost always be the same as the Forward Calls To number.
Managing Voicemail
For Classic and Browser modes, you can record your own voicemail. The Hybrid and Direct modes use your device's normal voicemail.
Press the microphone icon to start recording your voicemail. This can be done on your desktop or on the mobile app.
You can delete existing voicemails by hitting the trash can icon next to the voicemail.
If no greeting is recorded, callers hear a generic message.
