Setting a lead source as a campaign action in ProLine ensures that contacts are automatically assigned a lead source as they come through various opt-in points.

How to Add a New Step to Your Campaign

  1. Access the Campaign Editor: Navigate to:

    • Hamburger menu > Campaigns > Choose a campaign folder and click on Open Folder > Choose a campaign and click on Edit Campaign.

    • A campaign's stage triggers (gear icon) > View Campaign. Note: this might not be possible if the stage has no triggers or if the stage triggers have no campaigns.

  2. Locate the Plus Button:

    • For a pre-built campaign, scroll to the bottom to find the + button.

    • For a new campaign, the + button will be at the top.

  3. Click the Plus Button: Clicking the + button will add a new step. The new step will default to the "disabled" action.

  4. Select "Set Lead Source" from the dropdown: This will switch the step to the Set Lead Source type. Don't forget to save.

Configuring the Lead Source

  1. In the Set Lead Source step, you will see options to set a delay or a custom time for this action to occur.

  2. Choose the lead source from the dropdown menu. This menu contains all lead sources available in your company settings.

    • If you do not see the desired lead source, navigate to Company Settings and add it there.

    • If you see a lead source that you do not want to be available, remove it from the company settings.

  3. Optionally, configure whether to overwrite the existing lead source for a contact. If you leave this option blank, the lead source will not be overwritten if the contact already has one.

Recommendations and Best Practices

  • Placement in Campaign: It is recommended to place the Set Lead Source action at the top of your campaign, ideally among the first three steps. This ensures that the lead source is set before any other actions occur.

  • Lead Source Management: Regularly review and update the lead sources in your company settings to ensure they are accurate and relevant.

  • Avoid Overwriting: In general, it is advisable not to overwrite an existing lead source. Use the initial opt-in point as the primary lead source to maintain consistency.

By following these steps and recommendations, you can efficiently manage lead sources in your ProLine campaigns, ensuring accurate and automatic assignment for all incoming contacts.
