Overlay: Overview

Learn what the overlay is in Promolayer, which display types support it, and how to control it in Design Settings.

The overlay is the dimmed background layer that appears behind a display when it's shown. It draws attention to the display and blocks interaction with the rest of the page while the display is active.

Supported display types

The overlay is available for the following display types:

  • Popup

  • Roulette Game

  • Single Image

Effect

When the overlay is enabled, visitors cannot scroll, click, or interact with the page behind the display until they close it. When set to "Do not show," visitors can scroll, click, and interact with the page while the display remains visible.

How to change it

  1. Go to Design Settings > Overlay.

  2. Select "Show" to enable the overlay, or "Do not show" to disable it.

  3. Save your changes.

Note: To allow page scrolling while a display is shown, set the overlay to "Do not show." To prevent scrolling, keep the overlay enabled.
