Here’s a quick guide to the four filters available in Proofig to help you focus your analysis:

1. Suspect Type Filter

  • What It Does: Filters issues by type: Duplication, Alteration, Plagiarism, or AI-Generated Images.

  • How to Use: Select the issue type(s) from the dropdown to show only relevant results.

  • Example: Use "Duplication" to exclude alteration ,plagiarism, or AI-Generated Images issues.


2. Page Filter

  • What It Does: Includes or excludes specific manuscript pages.

  • How to Use: Choose the pages to focus on or ignore irrelevant ones (e.g., supplementary pages).

  • Example: Exclude unimportant supplementary pages to simplify results.


3. Between Pages Filter

  • What It Does: Excludes flagged issues between specific pairs of pages.

  • How to Use: Select page pairs to exclude (e.g., main content and supplementary figure).

  • Example: Exclude duplications between page 20 and its supplementary figure on page 60.


4. Publications Filter

  • What It Does: Excludes flagged issues from prior publications (e.g., preprints).

  • How to Use: Select publications to exclude from analysis.

  • Example: Remove preprint-related plagiarism flags to avoid false positives.
