The My Database feature in Proofig AI allows you to build a private repository of previously used images. This helps prevent self-plagiarism by checking future submissions against content you’ve uploaded—whether published or unpublished.
Accessing My Database
To get started, go to the main menu and click My Database.
Here, you’ll see your personalized upload area. This section shows how many files you’ve uploaded this year, how many are currently in your database, and how many you're allowed to store under your license.
Uploading Files
Click Upload to your Private Database to begin.
You can drag and drop your PDF files into the upload window, or click to select files manually. The platform supports uploading up to 8 files at once.
Sub-image selection option
You’ll see a checkbox labeled Skip sub-image selection.
We recommend leaving this option unchecked so you can manually confirm which images should be stored in your repository. If you check the box, this step will be skipped.
Click Upload to continue.
Selecting Sub-images
Once your files are uploaded, the system will process them. When processing is complete, a blue Select Sub-image button will appear next to each file.
Click Select Sub-image to open the sub-image selection page.
Here, you can review the detected images and confirm that all the visuals you want stored in your repository are properly marked.
Once everything looks good, click Add to My Database to complete the process for that file.
Confirmation
After sub-image selection is complete, the button next to the file will change to View. This confirms that the file has been successfully added to your database.
How It Works Moving Forward
Once your file is added to My Database, it will be included in all future Proofig AI submissions you make. Every new manuscript you upload will be automatically checked against the files in your repository—helping prevent the accidental reuse of your own previously published images.
My Database provides a seamless way to safeguard your work and preserve originality across all future submissions.
