Introduction

Welcome to Proofig. This guide provides an overview of how to use the Proofig system, covering the four main stages: uploading your manuscript, validating sub-images, reviewing suspected issues, and generating a comprehensive report.

Using the 'Page Tutorial' Button

For detailed guides on each page of the platform, use the 'page tutorial' button located in the upper right corner of the screen of every page in the platform. This button provides access to step-by-step instructions and additional resources to help you navigate and utilize each feature effectively.

Overview of using the platform

The Proofig platform simplifies your workflow into four main steps: uploading your manuscript, validating sub-images, reviewing suspected issues, and generating a comprehensive report.

The workflow consists of four steps: Upload (upload PDF or images), Validate (confirm AI-detected sub-images), Review (analyze AI-detected duplication and alterations using forensic tools), and Report (generate a comprehensive report). Each step is visually represented with icons and example images.

Step 1: Upload Your Manuscript

Navigate to the Proofig To Do Page and click the "Upload your manuscript" button.

This action will redirect you to the Submit Page, where you can complete the upload process for your manuscript.

Step 2: Validate Sub-Images

After submitting your manuscript, Proofig will automatically redirect you to the Select-View Page. Here, you can validate the sub-images detected by the system. Adjust the detected sub-images as necessary to ensure accuracy.

Step 3: Review Suspected Issues

On the Review Page, Proofig highlights suspected integrity issues within your manuscript. Carefully review all the suspected sub-images and confirm the issues that should be included in your report.

Step 4: Generate a Comprehensive Report

Once you have reviewed and confirmed the suspected issues, you can generate a report.
