How does PropShopTrader work?

How PropShopTrader works: Evaluation, Benchmarks, and Real Prop across Gladiator Stocks, Light, Forge, and Sprint (Evaluation + PTSA) accounts.

Overview

PropShopTrader is a multi-asset proprietary trading firm offering stocks and futures evaluation programs. Traders begin in the Evaluation phase, build a verified track record through Benchmarks, and may then progress to the Real Prop phase if they meet the firm's trading, risk, and compliance standards.

PropShopTrader uses two account asset classes:

Gladiator Stocks accounts run on the Signing Bonus model. Traders who complete the required Benchmarks and are approved for Real Prop receive a Signing Bonus when they sign the Real Prop Trading Agreement.

Gladiator Futures (Payout Account):

  • Gladiator Light: Available for Intraday, EOD, and Swing Futures accounts. Qualifying Benchmarks 2–7 trigger automatic simulated payouts, while Benchmark 8 triggers Real Prop transition review.

  • Gladiator Forge: Available for Intraday and EOD Futures accounts only. Qualifying Benchmarks 2–6 trigger automatic simulated payouts, while Benchmark 7 triggers Real Prop transition review.

  • Gladiator Sprint: Futures-only, day-trading-only, EOD drawdown only. Sprint starts at Sprint Evaluation and moves to Sprint PTSA after the Evaluation is passed and the required contract is signed. Sprint PTSA uses manual payout requests, with a maximum of five payouts per account; after the 5th payout, the account is reviewed for a discretionary Move Live / Real Prop transition. Sprint does not use the Gladiator Benchmark ladder. For full details, see How Gladiator Sprint Accounts Work.

How the program works

  • Purchase a Gladiator evaluation account. Choose Stocks or Futures, Gladiator Light, Gladiator Forge, or Gladiator Sprint (where applicable), Intraday, EOD, or Swing.

  • Trade within the account's rules and risk limits. Every account has a drawdown structure, an MAE limit, and (on Gladiator Forge and Gladiator Sprint) a daily loss limit.

  • Earn Benchmarks on a single account. Benchmarks are performance milestones that show sustained, disciplined trading. Benchmarks from different accounts do not combine. (Sprint Accounts use payout events instead of the Benchmark ladder.)

  • Progress through the ladder

    • On a Gladiator Light Futures (Payout Account), qualifying Benchmarks (2–7) trigger automatic simulated payouts while building a track record for Real Prop consideration.

    • On a Gladiator Forge Futures (Payout Account), qualifying Benchmarks (2–6) trigger automatic simulated payouts while building a track record for Real Prop consideration.

    • On a Gladiator Sprint account, passing the Sprint Evaluation is required to move to the Sprint PTSA, the payout phase. Sprint PTSA allows up to 5 manual payout events per account. (Futures only.)

    • Simulated payouts are typically issued within 72 hours of benchmark recording and compliance approval.

    • On a Gladiator Stocks account, Benchmarks build your track record toward Real Prop consideration.

  • Move to Real Prop. A trader who completes the full Benchmark ladder on a single account and passes compliance review is advanced to Real Prop under the Real Prop Trading Agreement. Real Prop traders start at an 80/20 split that can scale up to 90/10 as the account grows.

What Benchmarks mean

Benchmarks are the performance milestones used during Evaluation to measure structured consistency.

  • Gladiator Light Futures accounts use up to 8 Benchmarks on a single account.

  • Gladiator Forge Futures accounts use up to 7 Benchmarks on a single account.

  • Gladiator Stocks accounts use up to 8 Benchmarks on a single account.

  • Gladiator Sprint accounts do not use the Benchmark ladder. Sprint Evaluation is passed by reaching the Evaluation profit target, and Sprint PTSA uses up to 5 payout events per account.

  • Benchmarks across multiple accounts do not combine.

Gladiator Futures (Payout Account) at a glance

Gladiator Light:

  • Benchmark 1: triggers a full compliance and KYC review. No payout is issued at Benchmark 1.

  • Benchmarks 2–7: trigger automatic simulated payouts issued within 72 hours of benchmark recording and compliance approval.

  • Benchmark 8: triggers an automatic review for Real Prop transition consideration under the Real Prop Trading Agreement (RPTA).

Gladiator Forge:

  • Benchmark 1: triggers a full compliance and KYC review. No payout is issued at Benchmark 1.

  • Benchmarks 2–6: trigger automatic simulated payouts issued within 72 hours of benchmark recording and compliance approval.

  • Benchmark 7: triggers an automatic review for Real Prop transition consideration under the Real Prop Trading Agreement (RPTA).

Gladiator Sprint (Futures only): Sprint starts at Sprint Evaluation and moves to Sprint PTSA after the Evaluation is passed and the required contract is signed. Sprint PTSA uses manual payout requests, up to a maximum of five per account; after the 5th payout, the account is reviewed for a discretionary Move Live / Real Prop transition. For the full Sprint rules, risk parameters, and payout figures, see How Gladiator Sprint Accounts Work.

Gladiator Stocks at a glance

  • Similar to Gladiator Futures - Traders purchase an evaluation account, earn Benchmarks, and remain in the evaluation phase until they are approved for Real Prop.

  • On approval and execution of the Real Prop Trading Agreement, a Signing Bonus is released based on the account size. The Signing Bonus applies to Stock accounts only — no futures payout account (Light, Forge, or Sprint) includes a Signing Bonus.

  • From there, the trader is in Real Prop and becomes eligible for ongoing payouts under the active Real Prop structure.

  • There are no payouts issued per benchmark in this program.

  • There is no Gladiator Sprint in Stocks. Sprint is futures-only.

What happens in Real Prop

When a trader is advanced to Real Prop:

  • The Evaluation agreement (Gladiator contract) concludes.

  • The Real Prop Trading Agreement (RPTA) is issued and must be executed before Real Prop trading begins.

  • For Stocks traders, the Signing Bonus is released in two parts (50% on execution of the RPTA, 50% across the first two Real Prop payouts).

  • The trader's payout split starts at 80/20 and scales toward 90/10 as the Real Prop account grows.

  • Real Prop payouts are processed monthly once all payout conditions are satisfied.

Important notice

Progression through the Benchmark ladder and to Real Prop is not automatic in every case. It remains subject to the firm's risk standards, compliance review, and KYC checks. For Sprint Accounts, a Move Live / Real Prop transition after the 5th payout is discretionary and subject to Risk Team review. PropShopTrader may update program terms, rules, or eligibility criteria at any time.
